Termination of pregnancy (abortion)
If you are pregnant and have decided to have a termination, or are unsure and just want to talk it over with someone, it is important you seek medical help as soon as possible. This is because the number of weeks pregnant you are can affect what type of termination you will have and even whether you can have one at all. You can get free, confidential medical help from:- Your GP
- A GUM (Genito-Urinary Medicine) clinic
- A family planning clinic
- A Brook Clinic (if you are under 25)
- An independent clinic, such as BPAS (formerly British Pregnancy Advisory Service) or Marie Stopes
